The 5 Powers (of Development) is a common-sense approach utilized by the highest-performing individuals in athletics, business, and beyond. It is a simple, grounded training philosophy that deepens character, competence, and confidence.
Aspiring to greater levels of performance is commendable, but without access to other people who possess embodied knowledge of what we want to experience, true growth is elusive - or inconsistent and limited, at best. This is why “choosing our teammates wisely” is the pinnacle of empowered action.
However, even if we’ve identified legitimate mentorship, the proximity to mentors must be earned. And to retain our position within a circle of excellence, ongoing cultivation of character is required. This is why character (integrity, will, and grit) is the only true foundation for sustainable development.

Mind, Coordination, and Agility are “technical skills” to be mastered.
When our minds “are aimed at” or “focused on” remembering what's most valuable - positively representing our mentors and teammates - poise and resilience are the natural byproducts.
The exterior dimensions of Coordination and Agility are obvious – dexterity, speed, and power – and distinguish athletes from one another in game scenarios.
However, the interior dimensions of Coordination and Agility (communication, organization, discipline, enduring commitment, adaptability, intensity, and decisiveness) are the most essential variables in the equation of technical mastery.
